Kannada Tv Show College Superstars

College Superstars is a talent based reality show which got aired on the Raj Music Karnataka channel. It is a Kannada language series which gives college students a chance to display their talents and earn a name for themselves. The proficiency can be of any kind. Ranging from the more popularly seen dance and music, on to acting, mime or even beat boxing. Anything which the candidates would like to perform and enthrall the audiences with got permitted. It aims at pure entertainment in addition to nurturing and promoting talented youngsters.

College Superstars goes to a variety of colleges across the city to scout for talents and conduct auditions. The trials get conducted across various formats. The participants got a time limit of five minutes for whatever they would like to perform. In the case they choose to sing a song, it can be either a solo performance or they can even audition as a group. The contestants are all asked to arrive prepared with any two songs which they would like to perform.

Karaoke is also allowed, but the music should be in MP3 format only. It must also be on a portable device like a DVD or a pen drive. Mobile phones were not allowed for use as per the rules. The musical tracks selected needed to be pre-submitted before the performance. The qualifying round got conducted across two rounds. They are free to perform in Hindi, Kannada, English, or any other North Indian language and even a foreign language if they so choose. The rules for the dance auditions were similar. The performance could be any of a solo, a duet or a group dance. The participants needed to come prepared with any song of their choice to which they wished to dance. They also needed to bring their own costumes and props as required.

The song to which they chose to dance should have been one of the Hindi, Kannada, English, or any other North Indian language and even a foreign language if they so choose. The song needed to be in the MP3 format and recorded on a portable device like a DVD or a pen drive. Mobile phones were not allowed for use as per the rules.
