“Music School”, as the title itself suggests, is a singing show aired on Kalkii channel, Kannada. The show had turned up with a unique concept unlike any other singing show. When we learn of any singing show we end up thinking of a tug-of-war kind of competition among the contestants, judges, votes, audience, etc. But this is something which is a way different from the conventional singing reality shows. Kalkii channel has always been a very creative channel which delivers the shows that guarantee a hundred percent entertainment to the viewing audience. The shows being aired are original Kannada shows and are not remakes from any other language.
Though the channel is the youngest Kannada Channel, it hit the target right by earning ten million viewers within a very short span. “Music School” is a show which redefines the way the music captures and captivates not just the singers, but also the music lovers. Music School helped many singers learn music and then show their singing skills in any way they could. This helped in building a platform for the emerging singers to display their platform. There is neither any competition nor win or lose strategy. It is just the singers who are free to display their skills.
The show Music School had come with the motto stating, “Why be a bathroom singer when you can create an album?” The interested singers sent their recordings to the channel and the selected ones got into Music School. Music School was an initiative to bring about the hidden talent. The show featured singers singing their favorite albums. What makes it special is listening to the fresh voices humming super hit songs in their own way. Few people featured on the show gained an immense response and appreciation from the viewers for their talent. Famous bands had also been a part of the show.
Among all the others, Anirudh was the person who became popular and was loved for his voice. Suraj was also one of the participants who captivated the viewers with the song, Gulabi Ankhein. Suman Narayan, a software engineer was successful in mesmerizing the viewers with her voice. Arha band was featured playing “Hame Tumse Pyar Kitna” song in a unique way. Another famous band, Sapthaswara was seen playing its own composed song. The show had lead way for many other individuals with talent and skill. The show aired on the weekends, every Saturday and Sunday at 8:30 PM.
