Malayalam Awards MINNALAI Film And Television Awards 2014

Minnalai Film and Television Award 2014 is an award function which came on the Mazhavil Manorama channel. It felicitates members of the Malayalam television and cinema world for outstanding contributions made during the year of 2014. The function got held on 28th June 2014 at Hotel Dream. The jury for the prestigious awards consists of eminent members of the film and television fraternity. They have all contributed in various capacities to the development of cinema in the modern world and have made a distinct mark for themselves. They judged and analyzed the various movies which got released during the year on various fronts and finally took the call of deciding which were the very best of them.

The results themselves got announced together by the Chairman for the Television Award Committee, Roy Manappillil, and the Cinema Award Committee members Sohan and Deepan, who are both renowned directors. They got joined by the Chairman of the Pegasus group, Ajit Ravi, at Ernakulam. The 2014 edition features the 9thtime the award ceremony got organized by the Minnalai group. This annual exercise awards some of the best contributors and performers in the film circuit. It aims at finding and promoting talent which stands out. The evening saw some of the best names in the Malayalam film as well as television fraternity comes together in this act of celebration. Prasanth Pillai got the title of Best Music Director for his outstanding work in Amen. Sanoop’s endearing performance in the movie Monkey Pen got him the award for the Best Child Artist.
