Malayalam Tv Serial Bharath Ek Khoj - Malayalam

Bharath Ek Khoj is an epic Indian historical series that aired on the channel DD National in 1988. The show was also telecast in DD Malayalam. The show was based on the very popular and controversial book of Jawaharlal Nehru called ‘The Discovery of India’ that released in 1947 and captured the changing landscape of its culture and traditions and put an abundance of light on the Indian civilization that we all are part of.  Seeing the popularity of the book and the rough time that Indians all over the country were going through (because of India’s broken economy and its shackled nature) at the time, DD National, a very popular and the only channel broadcasted in India at the time, decided to buy the rights of the book and convert the book into a drama that people from all backgrounds can enjoy while developing a sense of unity and harmony among them that was much needed.

The show had a total of 53 episodes and it premiered on the channel DD National on 13 November 1988. The show, because of its stellar cast, layered writing, and subtle direction soon won millions of hearts across the nation and was the most-watched show in India. Many critics highly praised the show. The show because of its huge legacy and praise from the general audience was re-telecasted in 2013 on DD Bharti, on the 49th death anniversary of Nehru.
