Malayalam Tv Serial Chanakya Thanthram

Chanakya Thanthram is a historical drama aired on Amrita TV. The serial tells the tale of Indian economist, politician, Chanakya. Originally the show telecasted on DD National in Hindi from 1991 to 1992. It was a 47 episode show that was set in the 4th century BCE. It was produced by Prakash Dwivedi. It was so famous that the serial was dubbed in various languages including, Malayalam. Amrita TV aired the show in the Malayalam language, renaming it Chanakya Thanthram. The serial was divided into three segments.

In the first segment, the program featured the childhood of Chanakya. The role of Chanakya was played by Chandraprakash Dwivedi. The program starts by telling the story of his childhood, how he became so intelligent. Once grown up, Chanakya visited the kingdom of Dhana Nanda. He has crooked feet. So Dhananand exiled him from his kingdom, just because he is ugly and did not please his eyes. Somehow he managed to escape from being captivated by his army and managed to flee from Magadh. On his way to jungles, he saw a boy managing some of his friends. He was sitting on a big stone, pretending to be a king and then solving his friend's problem.

Chanakya waited to see how he managed to do the job of a king. He was impressed and went to the kid to ask his name. It was revealed that he was Chandra Gupta. Then Chanakya took him under his wings and taught him all the things related to a real kingdom. Then, he received the news that Dhananad killed his father. Chanakya was devastated by this news, and he wanted revenge. He started grooming Chandragupta so that he could take his revenge by making Chandragupta the king of Magadh.

In the second segment, Chandragupta was a grownup, and he had a competition to be the king. In a competition, Chandragupta killed his opponent, and Chanakya decided that he was going to be the one true king. They had a lot of struggle, but one day they were ready to attack the kingdom of Magadha. But they failed to win the war, and they had to flee once again. Then they made plans to overthrow Dhananand. Once in a village, Chanakya listens to a mother scolding his children that they are fools like Chandragupta. You are eating your food from the middle, so obviously, you're going to burn your mouth. Eat it from the side by doing that you won't burn your mouth and you will be able to eat your food.

After hearing this Chanakya did the same, he went on capturing the small villages first after that he attacked the kingdom and was able to kill Dhananad. Then he made Chandragupta the king of Magadh.

In the third segment, there are foreign invaders to loot India. Now it is interesting to see if they can fight these invaders or these invaders are going to loot India.
