“Gouri” is a drama serial telecasted on SURYA TV and focuses on a young woman, Gouri. Gouri is a simple but lion-hearted woman who, after her father Vasavan, shoulders all the responsibility upon herself. She decides to look and provide for both her mother Sujatha and her sister Taruni. However, soon she gets sentenced to prison charged with murder when she kills Madathil Tharakan to protect her sister. When she finally gets released out of prison, she finds out that her mother had passed, and situations are not as favorable for her as she wished. However, she knows that she still has to provide for her sister and becomes a very hardworking auto-driver in the City.
She also got the much-needed help from Kammatipadam Rajamma, who she met while in prison. Shouldering the responsibility of the entire family can be a pretty difficult task, and Gouri realizes this soon. However, no matter how difficult situations arise, she overcomes every obstacle in life by putting up a brave front and never backing down from her duty towards her sister. She suffers a lot because of all the goodness she shines upon people, but the serial has many twists which will keep the audience on edge.
