Aksharamuttam is a quiz festival in Kerala organized by one of the leading Malayalam dailies, Deshabhimani. Kairali TV telecasted the sixth season of this popular quiz festival on the show named Aksharamuttam Season 6 in January 2017. The quiz is primarily conducted for school students. Conducted in about sixteen thousand schools and attended by over forty-five lakh students each year, this quiz has become a staple feature of school calendars since 2011.
The questions are formulated keeping the age of the students in mind. Covering virtually every topic under the sun, ranging from the wars fought in countries to current affairs, this quiz keeps the participants on their toes. This is one quiz where bookish knowledge won’t help the students.
Starting from junior school to middle school and high school, each age group faces different levels of questions. Keeping in mind the sheer number of applicants, there is fierce competition amongst the contenders, each vying to win the first prize.
