The All Malaysia Malayalee Association (AMMA) organized “The Global Malayalee” in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was a three-day celebration starting from 27 November 2016. The event is broadcast on the Asianet Plus channel. Malayalees all around the world gather here to celebrate the beauty of their culture. The event is to appreciate the achievements of the Malayalee people, to recognize the efforts, and to share their identity to grow together. The event is a significant initiative towards preserving the Malayalee Culture. The event has gone truly global.

The first day was to celebrate the achievements of 24 celebrated Malayalees from over the world. The list included names of the great personalities who have made the Malayalee culture proud. Then came the gala night full of celebrations. The event was commemorated by recognizing the achievements of the prominent Malayalees.

The enthusiasm boosted with the celebrities from the Malayalam Film Industry, such as Shobana, Madhu Balakrishnan Madhu Balakrishnan is an Indian playback singer. H >> Read More... , and Sithara. Also, adrenaline rush was higher with the entertaining performances. Seeing the grandiose event chief guest of the event, the Malaysian Tourism Minister, YB Dato’ Seri Nazri, declared that future events would be supported & co-hosted by the Malaysian Government.

The last day was also a great attraction as it depicted the food and art of the south Indian state of Kerala. It showcased the bazaars of Kerala with the glittering traditional art collection and mouthwatering food, which highlighted the Malayalee culture. The event is one of its kind and was brought with it the beautiful colors of Malayalee culture, tradition, art, language, and lots of celebration of this great gala event.
