Boom Boom Shaka Laka was aired on Sun TV in the year 2000 and produced and acted by actress Revathi. One of the greatest hits among children, Boom Boom Shaka Laka is a fantasy daily soap.
It is all about a magic pencil, which the main character child will find. The magic pencil has a special characteristic of bringing life to anything which was drawn with that pencil.
Like in any other fantasy serial, there is an evil Shaka which tries to suppress the power of little Revathi.Revathi, whose original name is Asha Kelunni Kutty, was one of the top leading heroines in 1980's and 90s in all South Indian languages, largely in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu.
She is a trained classical dancer, and a strong social worker, actively involved in social reforms. She was also a member of CIFF and IFFI.
