Chithira kadhaikal , aired in Zee tamil channel ,with targeting the kids as viewers was appreciated. Zeetamil deserves a huge applause for the effort taken. Different form the normal soaps,which are tear jerkers, Chithira kadhaikal was informative and motivating for the viewers, especially the children. Stories about Vivekananda Swamigal, Ramana Maharishi, Acharya Ramanujar, Saibaba, Gurunanak, Buddha, Kanagadhasar and Mahaveer were all interestingly watched by the audience. The serial was animated and the graphics were done excellently.

Chithira kadhaikal was the right choice for the children to spend their time usefully and in a right way to keep them occupied and also relaxed. The serial was a network of beautiful stories, as elaborate and brazen as the golden embroidery in a scarlet silk saree. With neat and modest animation, the stories grabbed the attention of the children and made them understand the true values of life and the life of the saints. The viewers watched the serial every day with interest and with enthusiasm. The birth places of the saints, their life and their teachings all were told in a way that resembled the story telling session of the grandparents. The animated cartoo serial, Chithira kadhaikal, was a trend setter among the shows dedicated for the children. It took the audience back to a fantasy world, surrounded by saints, temples and unique villages, which have become a history now. There were various titles, which retold the stories from epics, mythology, history, folklore and fables in animation serial format. It was an appreciative attempt to teach children about the heritage and the rich cultures of our country. The serial, Chithira kadhaikal had left its foot prints in the history of the television shows targeting the kids.
