Mann Vasanai is a Tamil dubbed serial which showcases the consequences of child marriage – from loss of love, education and childhood days with lots of dreams and hopes. This serial is broadcasted by Raj Television Network. This tamil version is dubbed from the famous Hindi Serial “Balika Vadhu - which focuses on Child Marraiges in our country“. “Anandi” is an eight year old girl who is very studious and bright in studies . One day when she and her friends were walking from the school, the local village boys try to play with the girls and holds the rope in their pathway. But a man who passes the same way falls down due to this act, before the girls arrive to the trap.
Anandi scolds these village boys and help the man to get up. This impresses that man and he enquires who the girl is. Suddenly, one day he comes to this girl’s house and meets her father to seek alliance for his son. The marriage gets fixed and it comes to the Anandi’s teacher’s knowledge who is against child marriage. She tries to stop the marriage by bringing the police to the place , but the police takes bribe from the respected families and allows the marriage to happen. How Anandi gets into her new life and go through lots of ups and downs with lots of sacrifices in her own life, lies the plot.
