Singaaram Theru is an Indian Tamil Drama comedy serial which aired on Vijay TV. Continuing the path of success in the genre of comedy Vijay TV channel released a full-length comedy show titled Singaram Theru on 17 November 2013, broadcasting every Sunday at 10 am. A family entertainment series based on a street called Singaram Theru in Chennai. Singaram Theru has various characters staying in the colony. These funny characters fight with each other and end up filing complaints against each other in the C1 police station of that area.

This presents a hilarious situation in the show, which will tickle the bones of the viewers. It is a family show which will cater to all age groups ranging from kids to adults and draws the attention of every individual to the funny problems of the characters. The story plot has so many twists and turns sure to make the audiences burst into laughter and imagine the characters as their neighbors. The situations shown in the series happen in our day to day life, but people do not pay heed to it. The writer of the show uses everyday problems to be showcased in a fascinatingly, thereby pointing to the small joys of life that people are missing nowadays.

The show has brilliant comic timing and slapstick fun that it is sure to amaze the viewers thinking about some petty and complicated problems. Family one comprises of auto driver Velu, who is a drunkard and his wife, Eswari. They have a son, Gopi. Velu is always drunk and often gets into a fight with every other person he meets. Eswari is a chatterbox and has a younger sister, Mayilu, who falls in love with a neighbor boy. Family two consists of Neruppu Neelakandan, who is a self-proclaimed politician in that area. Sundari is his wife, and her leisure activity is to beat him every day. He has two subordinates who are useless and do nothing good to him at work.

Family three has Varathappan, who is a tailor, and his wife is Julie. Family four has lady Punniakoti and his sister Vasanthi. Lastly, Family five has Rajaraja Cholan, who stays at home and does all the household chores, and his wife works as a full-time nurse in a hospital in that area. Apart from these people, Sakthi, Shankar Menon, joins the team as a sidekick in the colony. Police Inspector Deepavali, constable Santhamoorthy, women police Kushalamba, and Maari add humor to the story. The story and direction of the serial Singaram Theru are done by Lollu Sabha's fame Rambala, the cinematography is by Dhanapal, and music is produced by Kinsley Vincent.
