Tamil Tv Show Naalaya Iyakunar Season 4

NaalayaIyakunar Season 4 is a reality show that was telecasted on the channel Kalaignar TV. The show was telecasted in the year 2013. When we think of reality shows, the first idea that strikes our mind is singing or dancing. NaalayaIyakunar is a breakthrough in the regular world of talent hunts shows.

The show is short film league which is in the hunt for young and talented film makers. As the tagline of the show suggests “The Directors of Tomorrow’, this show gives young film makers a platform to showcase their talents. The show is mainly a Tamil short film based show. The show invites budding film makers from across Tamil Nadu to come forth with their short films and participate in the competition. The show is conceptualized by J.V Media Dreams.

This company has also given chances to the participants or the winners of the previous seasons of the show to make and launch their own feature films. The show also has a tough screening process. The interested film makers are asked to submit entries of short films in any genre. The entries should not exceed 6 minutes. The selected entries get their directors into the main competition. Season 4 started with a total of 27 contestants. These contestants went through various rounds.

They had to shoot various short films of different genre provided by the judges. They had their own crew to shoot each film, and the best film moved forth to the next round. Out of these 27 seven contestants went to the final round. The panel of judges had directors like Chimbudevan, Suresh Krissna and Pandiraj to take the decisions and selections of the short films. The grand finale had veteran actor Kamal Haasan and K Balachander as special guests.

The title of the fourth season was won by VendhanRatinam with his much appreciated 14 minutes short film “Kattru”.
