She was chosen to be Dev’s bride, but his mother never approved of his choice. Dev’s father died when he was a child, and so he is very attached to his mother like a typical Momma’s boy. But he loves Sonakshi, yet wants to make his mother happy as well. The show when it aired in Hindi, was a success. The characters have retained their names although there are a few changes.

From the audience reviews, it is apparent that some are confused with the dubbing and the naming of characters as someone from Karnataka cannot possibly have the name as Mr. Bose. But the response this show received was positive, and everybody seems to be keen on keeping up with the episodes and the plot of the story.

Dev loves his family, and because his mother cannot seem to handle the presence of Sonakshi’s presence in his life, he breaks up with her. There are many more ties in the equation as Dev initially calls off his engagement to be with Sonakshi, but his mother makes him leave her later.

Dev’s family and Sonakshi’s family clash as they attempt to bring the best out of this situation in which they are stuck. Both fail to move on in their lives as they still loved each other and the breakup was only due to a third party- Dev’s mother. She sees the depression her son is going through and reluctantly asks him to take her back again.

As more episodes are released, and as the story takes on a newer twist each day, the viewers can only wait and watch as more characters are slowly revealing, and the plot thickens. Will Sonakshi agree to Dev’s second proposal this time? Or does she decide against it and attempt to move on again?

The story’s second season sees a seven-year leap to a new decade, and the story continues from there. Apart from Telugu, the show has also been dubbed into Tamil and Malayalam as it has been immensely popular in India as well as Indonesia.
