The story of the Ganapathi Complex is about the lives of 4 families who live in this Dreamland Apartment. All of their lives are interconnected in some way. Rajashekhar is the president of Dreamland Apartment. He lives with his wife and daughter Kaveri. Kaveri is this young girl in her 20s who recently has not only cleared but passed the bank exam with flying colors. On their next-door lives Ranganathan, an artist and an actor who has played some minor roles in movies and also knows a lot of famous actors. His home is filled with photos of him with several actors. He lives with his son, Sarath. The ceiling of Ranganathan’s home is damaged, and he is scared that it will one day collapse. This has led to several fights with Rajashekhar, who is the president of their housing society, as he has not done anything about the repair of their ceiling.

Rajashekhar and Ranganathan are like arch-nemesis of each other. Though Rajashekhar and Ranganathan are like arch-nemesis, this is not the case among their kids. Sarath and Kaveri are in love with each other. However, since their fathers do not like each other, they have to keep their dating life private, away from the eyes of their parents. For them, the terrace is like a meeting point where they can meet and romance without much fear of their parents. In another apartment lives a couple, Neelimani and Balu. Neelimani was a model once upon a time, and she had dreamt that after her marriage to Balu, they would live in a big housing society complex where there would be a pool. Still, unfortunately, they live in Dreamland Apartments which is far away from her dream home. There is constant bickering between them.

The last person who lives in this Dreamland Apartment is dancer Usha. She is an expert in classical dances like Bharatnatyam and Kuchipudi. She has a son, Subhu, and her younger sister Radha also lives with her. Usha, who is so passionate about dance, finally decided to start a dance class at her home with the support of her son and sister. These four families, who are so different, are connected just by living in this Dreamland Apartment.
