Panchatantra is a series about ancient India's famous tales of wisdom telecasted on ETV Telegu. It is aired as a weekly program on every Sunday. The program is telecast at 10:30 am every Sunday. ETV has used the medium of puppetry to relate the Panchatantra stories. The disciplines employed for the series include rod puppetry (prevalent primarily in West Bengal and Orissa), string puppetry (Rajasthan, Orissa, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Assam) and glove puppetry (Orissa and Kerala).Â
