It was a half an hour Show telecasted on every day of the week, except Saturday and Sunday at 10 PM. The author of the story is Vimala Rani. She got the idea of this thrilling story and shared her thoughts with the editor of a weekly Magazine. The great love story of Devdas and Parvati interested her, and she decided to publish it in her weekly magazine, Mayuri. Initially, the story published in the magazine, but soon it became a sensation among the readers and then it was decided to take up this concept into serial making. Ranivasam was a love story of two characters Devdas, and Parvati. Their love didn't end on a happy note. The endless love defeated by the obstacles that came in their way and buried in the realms of time. The love so pure and sincere wanted to reach its destination.
