Connexion is a Telugu remake of the popular game show Connexion. Connexion is a celebrity game show widely seen by the Telugu speaking audience in the regions where the language is spoken. The format of the show is very intriguing. The show invites many popular celebrities from South Indian film industries and then divides them into three teams. Each team consists of a celebrity along with their non-celebrity family members or friends. The three teams compete against each other to win the title. It is a word game and has four subsequent rounds with each round slightly different and tough from the previous one.
The first round is called ‘two by two’ where each team is shown two pictures and they have to find a common homonym from the pictures. The second round is called ‘joint family’ where each is the team is given a word that has been pre-splitted by the organizers into various images. The team members have to guess the word by finding a connection through the given images. The third round is one in which a team has to guess a word from the shown pictures. This round has buzzers and the team that gives no marks is given negative marks.
The fourth and final round is the one in which the teams are shown a series of pictures that are linked to a certain word. This is the deciding round. After this round, the points scored by the three teams are totaled and the team with the highest points wins the game. The show released on the Telugu channel, Maa Tv where it got huge ratings because of the content as well as the celebrity guests.
