Kotideepothsavam is a cultural program to promote Indian rich traditions and spirituality in the best way possible. Kotideepothsavam is a Telugu word where Koti means Crore and Deepa mean light lamps or diyas. The entire meaning is lightning of crore diyas. Kotideepothsavam is celebrated as a festival every year around fifteen days. Since last five years, Bhakti TV is organizing this event. The sixteenth Day of the event is celebrated as a Festival as it is the last day. Kotideepothsavam is celebrated when the Karthika Masam or also know as Karthika month. It is a very auspicious month in the lunar calendar.

By spiritually following each and every day of the Karthika Masam carefully one can achieve salvation. Karthika Masam is followed by everyone especially the devotees of Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu. Devotees are very busy those days by going to temples, offering devotions to God, fasting and maintaining every single rule for this festival. This Kotideepothsavam is telecasted since the last three years in Bhakti TV. The recent one was in the year 2015. This Kotideepothsavam is held at the NTR Stadium Grounds, Hyderabad at 5:30 PM. Last year it started on 15 November 2015. Thousands of Devotees come there from various places. There will be a live telecast the show all the fifteen days including the last day’s celebrations of the festival.

On the first day of Koti Deepothsavam, there will be a Vedhapatnam done by the well-known Vedic Pandits.Vedhapatnam is where many Pandits sit together and chant Shlokas, Mantras as per Hindu mythology. Later on, Garikapati Narasimha Rao gave a preaching about what exactly is meant by Karthika Deeparadhna and said the specialty of that month and reasons behind people celebrating it. Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy attends the Kotideepothsavam at NTR grounds on the first day. He is an Indian Scholar and is well known for his preachings on Sri Vaishnavism.He also shared with the audience the auspicious of Karthika Masam. Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy along with Sri Ahobila Ramanuja Swami was felicitated.

There were many Dance Performances on the first day Nagini Nrityam, Kathak Dance; Veera Natyam dance was performed. The main highlights of 2015 Koti Deepothsavam were where the Central Minister Sujana Chowdary attended the Koti Deepthosavam and gave a speech about it. There were many cultural programs every day. The main event is held on the sixteenth day where SapthaAarti was performed to Lord Shiva. Actor Chiranjeevi attended the last day to NTR grounds and shared how he used to celebrate Karthika Masam when he was a child and mentioned that this month is the most exciting month where all children, young, old and everyone wake up early morning at 5:00 AM take shower with cold water and light diyas every morning and stay pure without eating non-vegetarian dishes that particular month. Paripoornananda Saraswathipooja to Swarna Mahalakshmi took place on that last day of Koti Deepothsavam. Hence, the Kotideepthosavam ended safely by conducting all through the sixteen days.
