Tollywood News is a Telugu language TV show that airs on the channel Vissa TV, one of the Raj group of channels, one of the leading and competitive channels in India. Raj group of channels started with Tamil Entertainment and it spread out to various other languages including Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam and own channels that are specific to Entertainment, Movies, News and Music. The show Tollywood News is premiered on television throughout the week for half an hour at 8:30 am and is re-telecasted on the same day at 10:30 pm. As the name suggests, the show gives news about Tollywood, i.e., the Telugu Film industry.
The show has an anchor who gives the news to the viewers. When we think about any Film Industry, what first comes to mind is the actors, but the show is about more than the actors. The show features the stories of actors, directors, producers, singers, music directors. The anchor talks about their personal life based on what they post on social media, their upcoming movies, the controversial issues, their fights, the interviews they give on various platforms, and much more. The show is the daily dose of Tollywood gossip for people to have something to talk about on their day. The show is mostly followed by the teens who are big movie-buffs and love to see what their favourite actors are up to.
