"Kanchi" is a serial that aired on Aakash Aath and revolves around a woman named Kanchi. Born in the hills, Kanchi is a beautiful, strong, and bubbly woman who shows the tourists various sports in the area. On the other hand, the hero of the story Aakash marries a Nepali girl called Poonam to spite and annoy his own family. He is portrayed as the father of a two-year-old daughter called Ishwari. However, when they finally get accepted by their family and decide to return to their home, they meet with an accident. Hearing rumors about the said accident Kanchi arrives at the spot and Poonam gives her the responsibility of Ishwari. Aakash is nowhere to be found and therefore Kanchi decides to raise Ishwari as her own. After four years Kanchi decides to go to Kolkata and return Ishwari to her original family. However, not having met Poonam, Aakash's family thinks her to be Poonam. Not having the heart to cause them any emotional stress she gives in to the pretense and lets them think whatever they will. It is revealed that Aakash is still alive but ill. To add to his illness, he has lost all his memories. Whether Kanchi will be able to nurse him back to health and what will happen is Aakash finally discovers the truth constitutes the rest of the episodes.
