) who was betrayed by her parents by marrying her with a mentally challenged guy named Neeraj (Varun Badola).The serial was a hit in viewers because of different approach and concept. It aired from 2000 to 2002. It won Best Serial in 2001. First, Kajal was very upset by betrayal of her parents. Then slowly slowly she adjusted in the house and Neeraj. Neeraj started feeling comfortable with Kajal. He became friend of her.
After some time, Neeraj was so addicted to Kajal that he could not do anything without her. Kajal started improving him. Thus his recovery was started rapidly. Now Kajal was successful in recovering her husband. Now she got the intuition that her husband is not naturally mentally challenged, it was someone’s plan. She investigates the matter and pointed out one of her husband’s brothers and his father, who does not want his son to be normal. The serial now became a suspense tale.
The role of Kajal was played by Sandhya very well and she made justice with the role. Neeraj acted so well that no one can identify that he is not mentally challenged. Both the actors had justified their roles. The result is a hit daily soap. Sandhya Mridul (born 28 March 1975) is an Indian actress who appears in Bollywood films and television.
