After being mistreated by Sardar Kumar, she worships God for a better husband. When the Maharaj goes to her palace, she makes him his favorite cuisine and appeases him. However, the events are retold by Sardar Kumar, and they reach the ears of Queen Kanchanmala, who is furious by the king’s actions and questions him over Indumati. Other such stories include the story of Chandrabahan and the story of the handful of milk, each of which depicts the interaction between the humans and the divine and the miracles that are possible with faith being put in the right place.
