A Heroine is a Pakistani series. It premiered on 24th May 2022. The show comes under the genres of drama and women empowerment. Aqib Jafry is the director and writer. Zainab Nasir is the producer and Asir Ahmed Khan is the executive producer. It has one season with five episodes. The cast includes Sana Nadir Shah (Nazara), Syed Arsalan (Deedar), and Abdul Ahad (Azaan). The series starts with a young married couple, Deedar and Nazara. They have a small son, Azaan. Deedar works as a delivery man who delivers groceries to people. He is the only breadwinner of the family, as Nazara is a housewife. They come from a lower-middle-class family. One day, Deedar gets sick. It is revealed he has a serious condition. This disease makes him weak and not able to stand on his own. He goes on a bed rest. All the responsibilities now fall on Nazara’s shoulders.

She realizes she has to earn anyhow to keep her family going. She starts hunting for jobs. She starts applying for jobs at numerous places. But her application gets rejected everywhere. She is disappointed. Time is of the essence, and she needs to earn money as soon as possible. Having no option left, she decides to work in her husband’s position. Deedar’s boss initially hesitates to give Nazara the same position but gets convinced later. Nazara starts working without informing her husband about her position. She works under Deedar’s name. One day, after a fight with her husband, she reveals her true identity about herself to a customer. She is afraid that the customers may give her a bad review if they discover she is a woman.

Her customers are amused to see Nazara when they assume the delivery person would be a man. Every customer of Nazara’s is surprised by her decision to work as a delivery person, which is considered to be a man’s job. Some praise her while some criticize her. Surprisingly, most people appreciate her online. It gives mental strength and courage to Nazara. She makes a big decision to work with her original name and identity instead of Deedar’s. This decision marks the start of her new independent life.
