Doraha is a Pakistani drama TV serial that aired on Geo TV. This serial revolves around the life of Umer, Sara, and Shahla. Umer and Shahla are cousins. Shahla’s family is more prosperous than Umer’s family, and she likes him. Umer considers her a younger sister and does not think of her in any other way. Shahla tries to show her affection and feelings to Umer by making certain dishes for him. However, Umer falls in love with Sara, his university mate. When Sara comes to know about his feelings, she persuades her family to accept Umer as their son-in-law. However, they reject him at first but later allow their marriage. Umer’s mother is against the marriage and does not show any happiness for them. She dislikes Sara and wants Shahla and Umer to get married. After their marriage, Shahla does not show any hurtful feelings and befriends her new sister-in-law. Sara finds it challenging to adjust to her new life and house.

She tries to handle everything with obedience and maturity. However, her mother-in-law does not like her. Sara does not complain or throw any tantrums regarding her difficulty adjusting to the new environment. After two years of marriage, Sara decided to start working a day job. This idea is supported by Umer but not by his family. Umer’s family is of a backward mentality and does not accept a working woman in society. Sara’s situation in her house is discovered by Sara’s mother when she comes to visit her daughter. This creates a lot of chaos and disputes. Everyone starts pointing fingers at each other. Because of the constant fights, Umer gets fed up and ends up divorcing Sara. Umer marries Shahla after a few days after his divorce. Shahla is delighted to marry the man she likes.

She decides to confess her feelings to Umer but doesn’t get a chance. Shehla and her mother-in-law do not get along with each other. Umer’s mother realizes the absence of Sara and regrets hating her after Shehla convinces Umer to live separately. Sara gets married to Asfar. Umer sees Sara at a hospital getting treated for the wounds inflicted by her husband. Umer feels hurt to see Sara in this state and feels responsible for this to happen to her. Umer realizes that he still loves Sara and divorces Shahla despite having a child with her.
