Mohabbat Rooth Jaye Toh is a Pakistani serial that was telecasted on Hum TV in 2011 and was later shown on the Indian channel Zindagi in 2015. This serial based in Pakistan revolves around different challenges that a woman faces from early age. From child marriage to marrying a holy script like Quran. The story starts with 3 friends Shahnawaz, Shumail and Zain who reside abroad. Shahnawaz gradually starts falling in love with Shumail but gets rejected. A heartbroken Shahnawaz returns to Pakistan where he is forcefully arranged in a marriage by his father. Luckily he manages to save himself from his wedding and marries Shumail after she accepts her feelings for him. After a while he is made to return to Pakistan because his sister is forcibly married to the Quran. On the other hand Shahnawaz is tricked into marrying an 8-year-old girl which is unacceptable to him thus he decides to take full responsibility of the young girl. Shahnawaz’s father ends up killing his own daughter for the name of the family.

Problems arise in Shahnawaz and Shumail’s marriage life one after another. Their dream of a happy married life together was entirely in shatters because of the traditions that have happened in their family. Shahnawaz could not bear the guilt and regret of all things that have happened because of his cruel father. His family was broken. Shumail was always a constant support for him. Ten years later, the 8-year-old girl grew up to be a joyful young lady Mariam, who tried her best to bring the lost smile back on Shahnawaz’s face knowing he was the only family she had. At the end Mariam becomes the reason of Shahnawaz finding his lost happy ending.
