. Qayamat revolved around the story of a lovely young girl whose life choices had been influenced by those around her. After repeatedly making the same mistake, everyone closed to her left her with little hope. In addition to her parents and elder sister Samra, Ifrah was from a lower-middle-class family. She was honest and hard-working. Samra and Ifrah's parents had faced difficult choices when Mukhtar, Ifrah's uncle, had approached Samra for her hand in marriage to his son Rashid.
Despite Samra's objections, each family had agreed to the proposal. However, soon after their marriage, Samra was mistreated by Rashid until she was involved in a catastrophic incident, which left Ifrah to bear the brunt of the repercussions.
