Lagaao is a Pakistani romantic drama that was aired on 18^th January 2016 and consists of a total of 35 episodes. The serial begins with a cheerful note portraying the love, trust and admiration in between three friends and their families, however, as the serial continues it turns a bit dark consisting of the lies, betrayal and deceit. Nyla, Amber and Sitwat are three friends among which Nyla is married to Abeer and has a daughter named Maham while Amber is married to Rana and has a daughter named Sumbul. Rana is portrayed as a cruel and controlling man who loves to abuse his power which is why his daughter despises him. She loved Farhan but her father was against the idea and had asked her to marry his friend’s son which she had promptly refused.

Sumbul doesn’t support her father’s antics which is why when he was murdered she stated that she never hated the man but hated his cruel personality and harsh political antics. Nyla’s husband Abeer considers Amber as a friend and secretly fancies her. When Sumbul calls him, he visits Amber and her daughter without the knowledge of his wife. Nyla suspects their closeness but decides to keep quiet for the time being. Soon their closeness leads them to have an affair and this causes a rift to form between Maham and her father as well as a rift between Maham and Sumbul. Meanwhile the distance between Nyla and Abeer increases and she decides to get a divorce. She talks about it to Sitwat who is currently unmarried but unbeknownst to Nyla is secretly in love with him and wants to marry him.

When Sitwat gets to know about Nyla and Abeer’s strained relationship she gets excited to help Nyla get the divorce papers and makes it her personal duty to get the job done. Meanwhile Abeer helps Amber with a factory problem which attracts major media attention. Sumbul after seeing the article gets happy that her mother is finally happy with someone and someone is there for them. Sitwat dies in an accident and this leads to a major turn of events. How their lives unfold and what is their final fate constitutes the rest of the episodes.
