Lohithaswa

Lohithaswa is a popular Kannada writer and actor. He was born in the year 1942 in Thondagere in Tumur district of Karnataka. He has a commanding voice and he is famous for his gigantic look too. Lohithaswa is a retired English teacher too. He completed his post graduation degree in English literature from Mysore University. Lohithaswa is popular for sharp dialogue deliveries and clear accent. Lohithaswa is married to Vatsala. He has three children, two sons and a daughter. One of the sons of Lohithaswa is an actor in Kannada cinema, called Sharath Lohithaswa. His other children Vinaya and Rahul are not in the cinema industry. Lohithaswa is very interested in acting and he has also acted in some stage plays like Panchamma, 27 Mavalli Circle, Mote Raman Sathyagraha, Bharatha Darshana and Belchi.

Some of the popular films performed by Lohithaswa are Marjala, Geetha, Gajendra, Shivaraj, Simhasana, Pratap, Chandu and Sarathi. He has also acted in lots of television serials too. Malgudi days, Gruhabangha, Om Namo and Antim Raja are some of his serials. Lohithaswa is also popular for the literary works such as Hottu Hoguva Munna, Akkadi Salu, Sallapa, A Million Mansions and Siddagangeya Siddapurusha. He is the proud recipient of Karnataka State Nataka Academy Award and Suvarana Karnataka Rajyotsava Award.
