The One Who Is Good At Being Bad

Villains are the actors who play a negative role in the film. Often referred to as the antagonist or more casually a ‘baddie’, villains are the evil character of a novel or a film or a television show. Displaying a dark character in the early years of an actor’s career is a risk at a personal level as the audience perceives them as actors who are made to play the baddies only.

Portraying a negative role on the screen is more than the ones which are basic and positive since the actors need to undergo a change in their body language- the tone of the voice, the facial expressions, the way they walk and express through their eye, the dialogue delivery, and many other things change when one works as a villain. Antagonists go through the styling phase as well- sometimes their appearance speaks a lot more than the dialogues that they deliver; hence their costumes and make-up are of prime importance. Villains are generally against the lead actor or actress or both- and at times they need to shoot some action sequences for which they undergo training.
