Ruma Kalita is a famous face of Assamese Film and Culture. She was born on December 27, 1986 in Guwahati, Assam. She has been married to Pranjal Parash, a famous musician and Assamese singer. The couple is blessed with a daughter Aahin on October 16, 2020. Ruma has two sisters, Adv Hiru Jyoti Kalita and Purnasmriti Kalita and a brother Apurba Kalita. She completed her education from Handique Girls College in Guwahati, Assam. Ruma has worked in many Assamese serials, these include “Bandhon” that has been directed by Bappa Ahmed.
The serial was released on January 6, 2020, and aired on Rang Channel and “Guwahati aur Guwahati” also aired on Rang Channel. She can also be seen acting in advertisements by Amrit Cement Limited and Aadya. Ruma has also showcased her acting skills in Assamese Theatre. “Maa Deutar Maya” is the drama she acted in.
