Ashok Mukherjee is a veteran Indian entertainer who is predominantly working in the Bengali movie industry for more than thirty years. He's a playwriter, entertainer, and overseer of the theater group 'Theater Workshop' of Kolkata and former Professor of Drama, R.
He began his acting career in 1963 with the film called Surya Sekha, and in the wake of acting in this film, he got numerous different ventures to chip away at and has done a few motion pictures, such as Antony Firing (1967), Sankha Bela (1966), Boudi (1968), Sapath Nilam (1972), Sonar Kellar (1974), Pratik Chand (1983), Anubhav (1993), and many more. Even though he has done huge loads of motion pictures, but he's most known for his work in 22 Shrey Sharban, where he was playing the part of Judge.
The film spins around an ex-cop who is recruited to find a chronic executioner who his killings as per Bengali verse. He has additionally had a small role in an award-winning film Shabdo (2012). The film has won the National Award East (2014) for Best Feature in Bengali. Currently, he claims Theater studio in Kolkata, where he composes the play, directing and acting in it.
