Rafiqul Bari Chowdhury was a Bangladeshi cinematographer and director born in the year 1930. His birthplace was Brahmanbaria, and he passed away on 8 May 2005 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. In 1954, Rafiqul started his professional career as an assistant cameraman in Lahore and became a cameraman in 1960. He worked as the first camera operator for the channel, Bangladesh TV or BTV.

He was the director of the films- Tansen in 1970 and Bhool Jokhmn Bhanglo in 1974. Another film directed by Rafiqul was Pension, which saw a screening at the Indian Film Festival of 1984. He was also the director of a short film produced by Bangladesh Shishu Academy named Bangla Ma-er Damal Chhele in 1994. Jibon Shimantey was the name of Rafiqul's production company.
