Amitabh Reza Chowdhury is a famous director, producer, and screenwriter in the Bangladeshi Film Industry. He was born on 1 October 1976 in a middle-class family in Brahmanbaria, Bangladesh. He completed his early education at BAF Shaheen College and later went to Pune to study Economics at Fergusson College. Amitabh married a Bangladeshi actress Nowrin Jahan Khan Jenny, in his early life and got divorced soon. He married again after four years to Mim Rashid and separated in 2017. Amitabh returned to Bangladesh after his bachelor's degree from Pune and made a TV film in 1999, Hawa Ghar, which gained popularity among the audience. Amitabh has worked as a film director and managing director at Half Stop Down, a production company by Amitabh, his sister Mehzabin Reza, and Md Assaduzzaman in 1999.

Under his production house, One Stop Down, he made more than 12 TV films. He also served as a sessional lecturer at the University of Dhaka in the Department of Film, Television, and Photography and as Adjunct Faculty at an Independent University in Bangladesh. Amitabh is a skilled film producer, art director, camera operator, and Marketing Manager. After his first TV film, he directed the first twenty episodes of another TV series Bondhon in 2001. After these two successful directions, Amitabh started getting offers from the top agencies for making commercials. His productions were screened in other countries, along with Bangladesh.
