Pritha Chakraborty is a prominent personality in the Indian film industry. She is a well-known director, writer, and editor in the Bengali film industry. Pritha pursued a degree in editing from Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute. She has worked on several commercial and non-commercial projects. She started as an editor with In-Between Days in 2012, Astonishing Lamp in 2013, and Caterpillar Has Wings in 2013. Pritha launched the documentary Silent Voices as director, writer, editor, and executive producer in 2015. The Silent Voices premiered on HotDocs Canadian International Documentary Film Festival.

She was an editor of The Churning of Kalki in 2015, Bodhon in 2015, Son of Kali in 2016, Farewell Goddess in 2016, Simon Go Back in 2017, Ek Bachchan E Bohu Bachchan in 2018, The Accordion in 2018, and Mukherjee Dar Bou in 2019. She is an editor of several award-winning documentaries and fiction feature films. Pritha is the founder of Flying Leaves Production, a Kolkata-based production outfit. She co-founded Turtle Films, a digital platform for short films. She is associated with the pitching and incubation platform Docedge AFD. Pritha is an educator and has conducted various workshops.
