Anju Ghosh is also known as the Anjali Ghosh. She is a famous Bangladeshi and Indian Bengali film actress and has the most fan following West Bengal. She was born in the year 1956. The place of her birth is Bhanga, Faridpur district, Bangladesh. The nationality of Anju Ghosh is Indian, and her religion is Islam. Her hobbies are traveling and cooking.

She commenced her modeling career when she was a teenager. She finally marked her acting debut career in the Bangladesh film “Soudagar” in 1982. It was directed by F. Kabir Chowdhury, starring Wasim, Ilias Javed, Anju Ghosh, and Dilara. Her next movie was “Chondon Diper Raj Konna” in 1984. It was a flop movie, and it took her five years to get her next film. In 1989, she got her next role in the blockbuster movie “Beder Meye Josna,” directed by Tojammel Haque Bokul. She played the role of Josna, daughter of Kazi in this movie. This film did well at the box office and was the highest-grossing film in Bangladeshi film history.

After working in some Bangladeshi films, she left Bangladesh. She then moves to Kolkata, India, and started working in Bengali films. In 1993, she marked her Bengali film debut career in the film “Kumari Maa,” directed by Dulal Bhowmick. After that, she worked in a few more Bengali films include Rajar Meye Parul (1993), Praner Cheye Priyo (1998), Gariber Sansar (1999), Streer Maryada (2002), and so more. In 1990, she released a music album, “Malik Chhara Chithi,” which included twelve songs.

Since then, she has been living at Salt Lake in Kolkata. In June 2019, Anju Ghosh joined the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s political party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), West Bengal.
