Arijit Chakraborty is an Indian singer, music composer, and music producer. He was born in Serampore in the district of Hooghly, West Bengal. He did his schooling at Bakulal Sishu Niketan Primary School and Mahesh Sri Ramakrishna Ashram Vidyalaya. He went to Calcutta University for his under-gradational study. He was inclined towards music since his days in school and used to take part in musical competitions and events. Eventually, as he grew up he started hosting events and singing at cultural programs and small-scale gatherings. He also started writing stories in weeklies.
He was employed as the president of the Suro Bharati Sangeet Kala Kendra (which is a cultural body that provides diplomas in culture and performing arts) in 2012. His leadership helped the organization in becoming one of the biggest bodies conducting cultural examinations in the country. Arijit has his own YouTube channel where he releases his music independently. He is the founder of a company known as My Host, which provides website consulting services and solutions.
