Samragnee Bandyopadhyay, born on August 1st, 1989, is a well-known contemporary Bengali poet. She received the Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar and the Krittibas Puraskar(an award by the National Body of Letters) for her poetry collection Khelnabatir din Shesh. Samragnee holds a BA in Comparative Literature and an M.Phil in Bangla Language and Gender Politics from Jadavpur University before working as a Gender Studies scholar and a Bangla teacher to international students at the same college. She previously taught at the American Institute of Indian Studies. She has also been a radio jockey and a freelance journalist for a few days.

In Mukherjee Dar Bou, she made her debut as a story and screenplay writer (2019). Samragnee has seven poetry collections and two films, Mukherjee Dar Bou (Story, Screenplay, Dialogue) and Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti (Dialogue). Mukherjee Dar Bou received a Critics Choice Award for gender sensitivity, and Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti was featured at the India International Film Festival.
