Tridib Kumar Chattopadhyay is a popular author and editor from India who writes exclusively in Bengali. He was born on October 30, 1958, and currently serves as the General Secretary at the Publishers & Booksellers Guild, responsible for organizing the International Kolkata Book Fair. Chattopadhyay, was also a well-known author and publisher. Tridib completed his Higher Secondary Examination from Hindu School in 1975 and went on to earn an M.Sc. in Botany from Calcutta University. Tridib Kumar Chattopadhyay commenced his literary career in 1976 with Kishore Bharati Magazine, which was founded by his father, Dinesh Chandra. In 1985, Haath (The Hand), his debut book, was released.

In addition to writing and editing stories for adults, he has also written and edited various science fiction, mystery, and thriller series. He received the Amrita Kamal Child Literature Award in 1990 for his first book, Chaya Murti. One of his novels, Mukhosher Arale Story Soon >> Read More... , was adapted for television. In 2007, he was honored by the President of India for his contributions to Bengali Children's literature. Tridib Chattopadhyay has received several literary awards, including the Rotary Banga Ratna Award and the Atulya Smriti Samman. He currently serves as the chief editor of Kishore Bharati magazine. Moreover, Chattopadhyay contributes regularly to Bengali journals and serves as a guest lecturer for the University of Calcutta's Certificate in Book Publishing classes.

He is a life member of the Indian Science Congress Association and World Wildlife Fund. Chattopadhyay's notable works include Mrityuke Ami Dekhechi, Sabdhan Suspense, Anantababu Kothay, Tumi Pitamoho, Voyer Arale Voy, Boroder Baro, Gopon Premer Golpo, Bhoutik Aloukik, Dwiper Naam Kaladera, Jagu Mama Rahasyo Samagra (in 4 volumes), Asi Baje Jhonjhon, and Arbi Punthir Rahosyo.
