Florian Homm

Florian Wilhelm Jurgen Homm, better known as Florian Homm, is a businessman and an investment banker. He owned a company known as Absolute Capital Management.

Florian Homm was born on 7th October 1959, in Oberursel, Frankfurt, Germany. His father was a businessman, and he used to sell home appliances like pipe fittings, bathroom fittings, etc. Florian did not want to do the same business, and he wanted to do something different from his father. Florian was inspired by his uncle Josef Neckermann, who owned a mansion.

Florian Homm went to Bentley High School, Livonia, Michigan. Later he graduated from Harvard Business School in 1982 and post-graduated from the same school in 1987. He owns a degree in MBA. He was placed in a company Merrill Lynch; after working for a few years, he left the company and joined Fidelity Investments, and further, he joined Julius Bar. 

After having a great working experience, Florian Homm decided to start his own company. In 1993, Florian founded his company Value Management & Research in Frankfurt. In 1998, the company released its first stock in the market, and it earned huge profits in just two years. Florian Homm made various investments during that period; he invested in the German Soccer Club named Borussia Dortmund. By this investment, he was a partial owner of the club and made huge profits from dividends.

Florian Homm didn't stop by just investments, in 2005, Florian with his friend co-founded a hedge fund company 'Absolute Capital Management Holdings.’ During this time, Florian was able to make huge profits through hedge funds. Even he was named Hedge Fund Leader of the Year by the magazine 'Alternative Investment News.’
