Dennis Gansel is a German actor, director, and writer. Born in the city of Hannover, Gansel is the winner of several awards inclusive of the “Deutscher Filmpreis,” “Bayerischer Filmpreis,” and an “Adolf-Grimme-Preis,” for his films “Before the Fall,” and “Das Phantom.” Gansel was raised in East Berlin where he showed a keen interest in film-making, right from his teenage years. From the age of 17, Gansel often used to attend various Film and Television Festivals in Germany where worked alongside differently-abled people to work on a creative platform. Later on, Gansel pursued a 5-year film-making course at the Munich Film School. Gansel is recognized for his directorial works in movies such as “The Wave,” We Are the Night, Before the Fall, and Das Phantom, among many others.

Murnau Kurzfilmpreis” Award for his short films “The Wrong Trip” and “The Living Dead.” Gansel has also won several awards for his direction.
