Michael Chaves is an American writer and film director, popularly known for his movies like The Curse of La Llorona. Apart from his work on horror movies and the genre as a whole, Chaves is also known for working as an editor, executive producer, and a visual effects artist. In 2016, he won the Best Super Short Horror Film Award for his short film ‘The Maiden’ at Shriekfest 2016.
All the episodes of ‘Chase Champion,’ a comedy television series, were directed by him. With future Conjuring installments like ‘The Curse of La Llorona’ and ‘The Conjuring 3’ lined up, Chaves is keen on a transition to feature-length filmmaking.
