Cedric the Entertainer’s real name was Cedric Antonio Kyles, and he was born on April 24th, 1964. He started his acting career with a movie named Ride where he played the role of a man named Bo. The movie tells the tale of a girl as she just enters showbiz as the assistant of a popular music director and her struggles to keep that job. The movie, however, did not do well at the box office and got a rating of a mere 5/10. He was then cast in the movie Big Momma’s House in 2000 as a reverend. He was then in the comedy movie The Original King’s of Comedy as himself. He played the role of Eddie in Barbershop in 2002.

He was also part of the popular production Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events where he played the role of a constable. He gave his voice for the character of Maurice in the movie Madagascar, which released in 2005. Maurice is a lemur and King Julian’s advisor appreciated for his sarcasm.

He revisited in this character again in 2008, with Madagascar 2: Escape to Africa and then again in 2012 with Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted. He even played this character with the short TV films Merry Madagascar (2009) and Madly Madagascar (2013). He also voiced the character of LeadBottom in the movie Planes in 2013 and then again in 2014 Planes To The Rescue. He once again came back to the character of Eddie with the third sequel Barbershop: The Next Cut, which will be releasing in April 2016.
