Drew Bundini Brown was born on March 21, 1928. He was a cornerman and assistant trainer of Muhammed Ali. Occasionally he is also an actor. His birthplace is Midway in Florida. But he was brought up in Sanford in Florida which is nearby Midway. He only went to school until eighth grade. He discontinued from Junior High School. Even when he was young, he was too matured for his age. He was a mess boy at the age of 13. He got into Navy by lying about his age. He later discharged after two years.

After that, he became United States Merchant Marine. He spent 12 years traveling around the world. Drew Bundini Brown became a member of Sugar Ray Robinson’s Entourage. He was a cornerman there. Later he joined as a cornerman in Muhammed Ali’s Entourage in 1963. All through his career, he was with Muhammed Ali. Drew Bundini Brown is also one of the speech writers for Ali. He has also written lots of poems. He is the writer of the famous and often quoted Ali’s Quote.

Ali once used that to ridicule Sonny Liston in a press conference after the victory of WBC (World Boxing Council) and WBA (World Boxing Association) on February 25, 1964 to claim the titles.
