Hugh Grant

Hugh Grant aka Hugh John Mungo Grant, who is an English actor, and a film producer was born on 9th September 1960 in Hammersmith, London, England, United Kingdom. He comes from a hard-working family, James Murray Grant his father was a carpet salesperson and also an artist, Fynvola Susan his mother was a teacher. Hugh’s ancestors were English and Scottish. Hugh Grant is one of Britain’s popular faces who has a good sense of humour and an entertaining personality on screen and off screen. Hugh is very ambitious and had an interest towards literature and being an actor. In 1979, he ended going up to New college at Oxford after he won a scholarship and in 1982 he turned down the opportunity for postgraduate studies to focus more on acting while he made his first on-screen debut film called Privileged directed by Michael Hoffman in the year 1982.

Hugh’s hard work and determination paid off as he won the BAFTA award for the best actor and also the Golden Globe for his outstanding acting in his lead role as Charles in the movie Four Weddings and a Funeral in the year 1994 alongside Andie MacDowell. The year 1990 was very successful for Hugh as he was able to prove himself as a talented actor, even though Hugh has a few hardships in his life, he still managed to pull it off by holding a positive attitude towards life. Hugh Grant had his own style of playing a role of any given character that was clearly seen in his short appearance as a witty Prime Minister in the film Love Actually in the year 2003.

Apart from acting Hugh Grant has an interest towards being an athlete as he has played cricket and football when he was young. He also takes part in the Pro-Am tournaments as he loves playing golf. Hugh Grant has also inherited a passion from his father that drives him towards collecting fine art that makes him an art enthusiast.
