James Belushi is an American actor, musician and comedian, and a total performer. He is popular for his role as James ‘Jim’ Orenthal on ABC’s According to Jim, from the year 2001 to 2009. He was born as James Adam Belushi on June 15, 1954, in Chicago, Illinois in the USA to Agnes Demetri and Adam Anastos Belushi, who are both Albanian immigrants. He was raised in Wheaton together with his three siblings, John, Marian and Billy. He graduated from Wheaton Central High School and later attended College of DuPage and took a degree in Speech and Theater Arts at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. In the year 2001, his performance in ER’s episode Piece of Mind contributes to his re-appearance in the eye of the public. In the following year, he played the title role in the super hit comedy series, According to Jim. His first voice-over was in Nickelodeon’s Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, where he played as a pimple on the head of Krum. After this, he had a recurring role as Simon the Monster Hunter, where he just ad-libbed most of his dialogues in the series. His last marriage was with Jennifer Sloan in 1998, and they have a daughter named Jamison Bess and a son named Jared James. Jim also suffered from Gout and thus became the Savient Pharmaceuticals’ spokesman for their Check Out Your Gout educational campaign. In 2012, he endorsed President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign.
