Larry Neumann Jr, born in Chicago to his parents Pat and Larry Sr., a man born to be a well-known theatre artist. He encountered theatre when he was in sophomore year in Thomwood High School. Larry gives all the credit to his teacher Pat Wozny, who motivated and mentored him for theatre for his life. Larry performed his first role as Alan Strang in EQUUS. He began his theatre career like other college lads by assisting in an only Equity house in far south suburbs, Illinois Theatre Centre in Park Forest. From his experience in this theatre, he learnt that for the theatre to be run successfully, it needs much more effort than what was taught at school.

Throughout his life, Larry has worked with many theatre production organizations. He has played outstanding roles in very famous plays and films. He has taken part in over 70 theatrical productions in 32 different theatres. He has appeared in several outstanding shorts and many feature films. His success can be interpreted by his high-praised work he has done and with the line of Joseph Jefferson Awards he has got.

In the year 1996, he got awarded for the category Actor in a Revue for his role for “Hitting for the Cycle”, at Famous Door Theatre in Chicago, and in 1998 he got nominated for category Actor in a Supporting Role in a play “The Angels of Lemnos”, at the Chicago Dramatists Theatre in Chicago.

Again in the year 2003, he got two awards for the category Actor in a Principal Role at the Famous Door Theatre in Chicago for the plays “The Cider House Rules-Part 1” and “The Cider House Rules-Part 2”. In the year 2007, he won the award for category Actor in a Principal Role at the Writers Theatre in Chicago for the play “The Puppetmaster of Lodz”.

He got the award in 2009 for category Actor in a Principal Role in a play “A Moon for the Misbegotten”, at the First Folio Theatre of Chicago. In the year 2014, he won Joseph Jefferson Equity Award for the play “In God’s Hat” for being Principal Actor at the Profiles Theatre in Chicago.
