Oliver Martyn John Phelps is a British actor. He was born on February 25, 1986, in Birmingham, England. He spent his childhood, and teenage years with his parents, Martyn and Susan Phelps, and his twin brother, James Phelps.

Oliver is older than James by thirteen minutes. Oliver completed his schooling from the Little Sutton Primary School and the Arthur Terry Secondary School. Oliver and James have an ardent love for golf, and they regularly play golf together. Oliver's handicap is an eighteen. Oliver loves Rock Music and playing Play Station with James.

Both twins are fond of watching football. Oliver is a huge supporter of the Aston Villa Football Club. The actor is well-known for his role in the iconic Harry Potter films. In 2000, Oliver with his twin brother, James bunked school to audition for the Harry Potter series.

Oliver had no previous experience in acting, but after a series of auditioning rounds, he and James got selected to play the parts of George Weasley and Fred Weasley respectively, in "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone." The twins later proceeded to play the parts of George and Fred in the subsequent films as well.

The twins are famous for their redhead, but in reality, they have coffee brown hair, and they had to dye their hair ginger red for almost as long as ten years. In 2009, Oliver Phelps appeared in an episode of Season 3 of the television series, "Kingdom." In 2012, Oliver along with James starred in a short documentary, focusing on Plato's philosophy, titled, "A Mind's Eye."

Oliver and James have always been an active part of the Harry Potter promotional tours. Oliver along with James even made a Live Cast, where they answered all the questions of the Potter Heads. Oliver Phelps played the role of George Weasley in all the Harry Potter films, which are reconstructed on J. K. Rowling's fantasy novels of the same names.

The series include a total of eight films which are titled as, "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets," "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban," "Harry Potter and Goblet of Fire," "Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix," "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows- Part 1," and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows- Part 2."

Some other motion pictures in which Oliver appears are, "Ears," "Hogwarts Express," "Own Worst Enemy," "King of the Nerds," and "Danny and the Human Zoo." Both Oliver and James participate in charity projects. The twins plant trees on a regular basis.

They are supporters of Teenage Cancer Trust. The twins participated in a skydive for Cancer research in Australia. They even engaged in the Virgin Money Giving Drive. Just like his character of George Weasley in the films, Oliver too loves to play pranks.

Both the twins are pranksters, and often confuse people by switching names. Though both are fun lovers, Oliver is considered to be the more outgoing twin. When questioned about his favorite scene from the entire Harry Potter movies, Oliver says that he loved the scene when Harry and Ginny are kissing, and he takes a quick glance, and says " Morning," with a little smirk on his face.
