Stuart Graham

Stuart Graham is one of the most famous Irish actors. He was born and brought up in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Graham graduated from the University of Ulster, in media studies, in 1989. He trained at The Poor School, London, in acting, in 1991. He has been married to Laine Megaw since 1992.

Graham acted and directed, as well as produced many movies. He started his career on stage in 1990. His first movie was Michael Collins, in 1996. He worked in both Irish and British movie productions. Most of the stage performances he gave were at Dublin and Belfast. He acted in about 74 short films, television, and films. Graham’s acted in some TV series too. In 1993, he started his career in TV series with the show, ‘Screenplay’, and then, The Governor, in 1995. Stuart Graham’s “The Good Award”, was the big winner on the night of Underground Cinema Awards for Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, and Best Actress. Graham himself won the Underground Cinema Awards for Best Direction. He also produced a movie called Made in Belfast. Graham also made a documentary called Make It New John, in 2010. In 2000, Graham directed the premiere of Gary Mitchell's new play, Marching On, at the Lyric Theatre, Belfast. He is currently working on the television series, ‘Thirteen’, on BBC television. His movie, Michael Collins, in 1997, was nominated for seven awards and won an award too. Another movie, ‘Hunger’, in 2009, was nominated for one award and also won an award.
