English Movie Actress Jennifer Landon
Written By - Team Nettv4u

Jennifer Landon is born to famous actor late ‘Michael Landon’ and his wife, Cindy Clerico. Cindy is the third wife of Michael and had two children with him. Jennifer, who shares the first name with a long list of actresses in Hollywood, was practically a Hollywood child. Having her father in the industry, Jennifer got acquainted with the acting in movies and soap operas since her childhood. She was only five when she first made her debut on-screen in her father’s television series, “Highway to Heaven”.

Jennifer, who saw the light in the world on 29 August 1983 in Malibu California, lost her father Michael Landon when she was barely 7, and her brother Sean, just 4. Jennifer had a total of 7 half-siblings from father Michael’s previous marriages. Acting in the movies and television seemed like the obvious choice for Jennifer having graduated from New York University. The acting was in her blood, and it purged out during her college days itself as she was taking part in several theatre productions. Her innings in the film industry started in 2004 in an independent movie called “L.A.D.J.” The very next year she entered into soap operas by playing the role of Gwen Norbeck Munson in “As the World Turns”. This theatre trained actor managed to impress the producers in this show that they extended her role and booked her for next three years for the same show. She also featured as Cleo Babitt in the same show, where she has a similar appearance as that of Gwen Munson. However, this role was cut short sooner in the show.

Jennifer has a career highlight of a total of three movie credits so far which includes “Another Bullet Dodged” (2011), and “I Spit on your Grave: Vengeance is Mine”, which released in 2015. The 32-year-old actor has proved her acting skills over and over in the television series and has also bagged Day Time Emmy for Outstanding Younger Actress for a Drama Series three times for her role in As the World Turns. Exploring her talent in different genres, Jennifer also tried her hand at music. Her singing appears in her show As the World Turns where she sings plenty of songs. In 2006, she recorded two songs Slide, and I Saw Love released by her. Although her singing was appreciated, her songs did not match up to the hype and expectations.

Jennifer took some time off when her three-year contract was over and so was the show (As the World Turns). She is believed to have taken time off to spend with her family. She is later seen in the hit Television Drama House in 2011, even though not in a prominent role. She made news when she got roped into play Heather Stevens in the popular show “The Young and The Restless” in 2012. Her career took a new phase because of this big opportunity. But it did not last for long, soon after a year, the role of Heather was discontinued. But this did not mean the end of this talented three times Emmy-winning star. In 2016, she is expected to be seen in Banshee, apparently playing the wife of a serial killer.  She will always be reckoned along with her father’s name, and she often shares her fond memories with Michael.

Her half-brothers in the family tree are Christopher B. Landon and director, Michael Landon Jr. Jennifer Landon did her schooling from Brentwood School, and then, she shifted to the great New York City and joined New York University; there she partook in numerous theater makings. The first time she moved her foot in the field of acting was at the mere age of five, where her well-connected father got her to take the role of a little lassie in one of the episodes of his television series, “Highway to Heaven”.

She worked with her father another time in the pilot of another one of his television series, “ Us Click to look into! >> Read More... ”, where she got to depict the character of a woman named, “Jennifer Kramer”. This was before the year 1991 before Michael Landon died. Before her performance in “As the World Turns”, Jennifer performed in an independent movie, “L.A. DJ”. In the year 2005, she finally got the role of Gwen Norbeck Munson (As the World Turns), a role that wasn’t supposed to be anything major initially, until the director liked her performance so much that he extended her contract to that of three years for this particular show.

For this role of hers, she has won “Daytime Emmy Award” for “Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series”, consecutively for three years (2006-2008). “As The World Turns” has also displayed her amazing talent as an up-and-coming recording artist, given that her role has demanded her to sing numerous times on the show. In the later part of 2006, the storyline of the show focused on Gwen chasing her music dream and her recording singles like, “Slide” and “I Saw Love”.
